That's because only Defender has flexible woven Kevlar in the seat, hips, and knees, and our trademark gusset in the crotch. Plus, there are Velcro closures at the ankle and extra pockets.

Constructed of heavyweight pre-washed blue or over-dyed black denim and flexible woven Kevlar. The Blue Defender has a fifth front pocket and a tan rear leather patch above the rear left pocket. The Black Defender is a "dressy" motorcycle jean, with a dark leather patch above the rear left pocket and no front fifth pocket label. Both colors have 5 belt loops up to 32W; 7 belt loops to 44W.
